Privacy Policy

OCG Media is a digital marketing business based in Medicine Hat, Alberta, run by Owen Gustafson. It operates the website ocgmedia.ca. This policy explains what personal information I collect when you use the site or contact me, how I use it, who I share it with, and the choices you have.
1. What information I collect
When you submit the contact form or book a call, I collect your name, email address, phone number, business name, and anything you write in the message field. If you email owen@ocgmedia.ca directly, I keep that correspondence. The site also collects information automatically while you browse: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the site or ad that referred you. That automatic collection happens through analytics tools and the Meta Pixel. I do not collect payment card details on this site. Invoices run through a separate payment processor that holds those details, not me.
2. How I use your information
I use the information to respond to your inquiries and schedule calls, provide and improve my services, understand how visitors use the site, measure and improve advertising including Meta ads, send you information you have requested, and meet my legal and accounting obligations.
3. Cookies and tracking
The site uses cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality, analytics, and advertising. The Meta Pixel helps me measure how ads perform and may allow Meta to show you relevant ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can adjust how ads are targeted to you in your Meta ad preferences.
4. How your information is shared
I do not sell your personal information. I share it only with service providers that help run the site and my business, such as Framer for website hosting, Google Workspace for email, and Meta for advertising and analytics, and with authorities when the law requires it. Some of these providers process data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of those countries.
5. Data retention
I keep personal information only as long as I need it for the purposes described above, or as long as the law requires, and then I delete or anonymize it.
6. Your privacy rights
Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal PIPEDA give you the right to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, and withdraw your consent to certain uses. To make a request, email owen@ocgmedia.ca. If you are not satisfied with how I handle it, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta, or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
7. How I protect your information
Inquiry and client information is stored in Google Workspace with two-factor authentication enabled, and I am the only person with access to it. The site runs on HTTPS, so anything you submit through a form is encrypted in transit. No system is completely secure and I will not claim otherwise. If a breach happens that creates a real risk of significant harm to you, I will notify you and report it to the appropriate regulator, which for an Alberta business means the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta, the federal Office of the Privacy Commissioner, or both.
8. Client data and information about other people
Some clients give me access to their customer lists or ad accounts so I can build audiences and set up conversion tracking. That information belongs to the client. I use it only for the campaigns I was hired to run, I keep it separate from every other client account, and I delete or hand it back when the engagement ends. If you are a customer of a business I work with and you want to know how your information is handled, contact that business directly. They decide what happens to it, and I act on their instructions.
9. Links to other websites
This site links out to client websites and to third-party platforms such as Meta and my booking tool. Once you leave ocgmedia.ca, this policy stops applying and I have no control over what those sites collect or how they use it. Read their policies before you submit anything to them.
10. Changes to this policy
I update this policy when the tools I use or the way I handle information changes. The date at the top of the page shows the most recent revision. If a change materially affects information I already hold about you and I have your email address, I will contact you before the change takes effect.

Questions about this policy, or a request to see, correct, or delete what I hold about you, go to owen@ocgmedia.ca. I respond to privacy requests within 30 days, which is the timeline Alberta and federal privacy law both set.
